Description
This globally-recognized certification program is the best way to begin your life-long adventure as a certified scuba diver. Personalized training is combined with in-water practice sessions to ensure you have the skills and experience required to become truly comfortable underwater. The course includes a digital online course, classroom and pool sessions, use of rental gear during pool sessions.

Recommended hours for completion: 16-32.
Minimum total bottom time for open water training dives: 80 minutes
Requirements For Completion
Complete all academic sections and assessments outlined in the instructor manual for Open Water Diver.
Complete an Open Water Diver final exam with a passing score of at least 80%.
Complete all pool/confined water sessions and skill evaluations outlined in the instructor manual for Open Water Diver.
Complete the Student Water Fitness Evaluation outlined in the SSI Training Standards. Water fitness evaluations must be
completed before participating in any open water training dives.
*Complete at least four (4) open water training dives on scuba and all of the skill evaluations outlined in the instructor
manual for Open Water Diver.
